Course Requirements and Graduation Qualifications
- For the major, at least 12 credits must be in professional courses, while the remaining 12 credits can be in professional courses from any group within the program. If students wish to choose general graduate professional courses for their graduation credits, they must obtain approval from the course instructor and the program director. Professional courses offered by day-time departments within the respective groups are also considered as professional courses for that group.
- In addition to the 24 credits in professional courses (each worth 3 credits), students must also complete 4 semesters of "Seminar" (0 credits) and 3 semesters of "Thesis Research" (total of 6 credits).
- According to the university's "National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Academic Ethics Education Program Implementation Guidelines," students must take the academic ethics course on the "Taiwan Academic Ethics Education Resources Center" platform after admission. Students who fail the final test of the course are not allowed to apply for the degree examination.
- Students applying for the graduation oral exam must also submit an originality check report of their thesis. The similarity in the report must be 20% or less in order to apply for the degree exam. Otherwise, the application will be rejected, and the student’s degree exam application will not be accepted.
- Completion of the thesis degree examination.
- Students who pass the degree examination must submit the degree exam result form, a printed copy of their thesis, the originality check report, the academic ethics and originality check statement, and upload the thesis abstract and full text electronically to the university library. After completing the graduation and departure procedures, the degree certificate will be issued.
